YWAM RONGO
Located in Migori County, 33 km from Lake Victoria. Farming is the main source of income. A few farmers grow sugar cane as a cash crop and the rest are subsistence farmers dealing in maize and vegetables. YWAM is mobilizing groups to seek for ways to improve their lives and their communities. Agriculture demonstration farms, Income generating carpentry with discipleship for integrity, honesty and quality workmanship. YWAM MAKWAN'GANI:
YWAM MAKWAN'GANI
Situated in a small, very rural village in a region of coastal rainforest in Kwale County. Most of the inhabitants are subsistence farmers who are poorly educated and of low income status. YWAM is focused on helping the community improve in areas of agriculture, healthcare and education. The Makwang'ani and surrounding villages self-help group has over 250 members and promotes ' Farming God's Way' which involves practising 'Conservation Agriculture' to high standard and according to Biblical principles.
